New Chapters in APSV’s Management
APSV Advogados starts 2026 by reinforcing its commitment to continuous growth. As the firm’s practice has expanded over the years, it has brought new demands, projects, and challenges, and its management structure is evolving to keep pace, always staying true to the firm’s dynamics and values.
As part of this new chapter, Gabriela Romero is stepping into the role of CEO at APSV, taking strategic charge of the firm’s management and operations.
This leadership position, shaped by cycles and closely tied to the firm’s values, was held by Giuliano Fernandes until 2025, and throughout APSV’s history, it has also been held by founding partners Eugênio Vieira and Pedro Albuquerque. In 2026, this role passes to Gabriela Romero, in step with a broader global movement toward greater female leadership in decision-making spaces.
With a career built on consistency and technical expertise, Gabriela brings over 20 years of experience in real estate and environmental law, advising clients across a wide range of market segments. She coordinates Impact, APSV’s Sustainability Program, responsible for the firm’s commitments under the Global Compact since 2021. She also leads the ESG and Pro Bono departments and serves as the partner responsible for the Culture Committee and the Ethics Channel.
Gabriela became a partner at APSV in 2023 and has been with the firm since its founding, giving her deep knowledge of its operations and day-to-day routine. That background, combined with her technical training and close involvement with the firm’s internal areas, has prepared her to take on executive leadership with confidence and a clear vision for the future.
“I accepted becoming CEO of APSV with great joy. My goal is to further strengthen our organizational culture and foster an environment of innovation and efficiency aligned with the business needs of our clients and partners. I’ll also keep working alongside the other partners to build an increasingly integrated and collaborative environment. I believe management is, above all, built through people. APSV grows organically, and our operations need to keep up with that movement through strategy and planning,” says Gabriela.
The announcement also marks the end of an important management cycle at the firm. Giuliano Fernandes is stepping down from executive leadership and will continue as a partner at APSV and head of the litigation practice.
On the transition, Giuliano says:
“The CEO role was my first challenge when I joined as a partner. It became a mix of managing and serving that renewed itself over time. But recently, I realized how important it is to bring a fresh approach and vision to management, and I’m glad the other partners embraced my request and chose Gabriela, someone with drive, exemplary leadership, and everything it takes to contribute even more. I’ll continue leading APSV’s litigation practice, embracing new areas like arbitration and mediation, and new projects as our region’s economy keeps growing.”
For 2026, APSV expects even greater integration between management and legal strategy, a stronger organizational culture, and an improved client experience.
