Meu Registro: New Platform Integrates Brazilian Notary Offices and Expands SERP Services
Meu Registro brings together, in a single digital environment, services that used to be spread across different notary offices nationwide.
Brazil’s public registry ecosystem now has a new tool aimed at integrating notary office services. The National Corregedoria of Justice (CNJ), together with the National Operators of Public Registries, launched the Meu Registro platform, an initiative that marks another step forward in implementing the Electronic System for Public Registries (SERP).
The platform’s goal is to simplify the user experience by bringing together, in a single digital environment, services that used to be accessed through different portals and systems. This means citizens and businesses can now request documents from various registry specialties and different states through a single interface.
Integration and simplified services
Until now, getting documents issued by different registry specialties often meant going through multiple procedures, protocols, and payments across separate platforms.
With Meu Registro, that fragmentation should be reduced. Requests are made in a single environment, while communication between notary offices and other registry specialties happens in an integrated way. Beyond the online environment, this interoperability will also be available for in-person service at notary offices.
The platform lets users request services, track the status of their requests through a unified protocol, make payments online, and receive documents in a more organized and efficient way.
Evolution of the Electronic System for Public Registries
This initiative is another step in the rollout of SERP, created by Law No. 14,382/2022 to integrate Brazil’s public registries and expand the digitalization of services provided by notary offices.
The idea is to make things simpler for users, so they no longer need to know beforehand which office has jurisdiction, what territorial limits apply, or how the different registry specialties work internally.
In practice, the platform serves as a single point of entry for various registry services, automatically routing requests to the appropriate office.
